Inscape Tasmania brings artists into hospitals and healthcare settings across Southern Tasmania.

Each year, more than 1,000 patients experience bedside music, storytelling, visual arts and artist residencies that support connection, comfort and dignity during times of illness and recovery.

These moments might be a familiar song in a difficult day, a story transformed into a personal artwork, or a quiet interaction that helps someone feel seen beyond their diagnosis.

Over the past decade, this work has included more than 220 LifeScape artworks gifted to patients and families, weekly live music in hospital spaces, and ongoing creative residencies embedded within wards and healthcare environments.

These programs are part of how care is experienced for many people. But they are not permanently funded.

Without renewed philanthropic and community support, some of these programs may not continue beyond 2026.

Your support keeps artists in hospitals.

Your donation directly supports artists working alongside healthcare teams in hospitals across Tasmania.

It brings music, visual arts and storytelling into places where people are often facing uncertainty, recovery and change.

See the work in action

The art often does the work. When artists bring their practice into a hospital space, it opens moments of connection that can be incredibly powerful.
