Creative care to connect, comfort and transform

Creativity at the Heart of Care

Inscape Tasmania is a cultural organisation and registered charity delivering professional art and music programs in Tasmanian hospitals since 2015.

We support Tasmanian artists and musicians to create meaningful, uplifting experiences for patients, families and staff.

Our programs enrich the healthcare environment, enhance recovery and offer moments of connection and relief during times of stress.

Support Creative Care in Hospitals

  • Artmaking

Professional artists lead creative sessions with patients, families, and staff - offering moments of reflection, self-expression and connection within the hospital environment.

  • Music

Live and improvised music brings comfort, energy and emotional support to clinical spaces, creating shared experiences that soothe and uplift.

  • Enlivening the Space

We transform hospital spaces with art installations, exhibitions, and interactive elements that make healthcare settings feel more human, welcoming  and inspiring.

  • Projects

Inscape supports artists to develop their creative practice in healthcare through collaborative residencies with patients, staff, and visitors.

The power of music cannot be dismissed, the power of music in this place is tripled.

In hospital your world shrinks so much that small things have an enormous impact.

— Kim Foale, Recipient of Life-Scape Illustration and Instrumental, June 2019
