Artmaking
The Artmaking Program
The Art-Making Program invites patients to explore creativity during their hospital stay, offering a chance to play, paint, draw or experiment with materials as part of their recovery and wellbeing.
The program now runs across multiple wards, with patient artworks regularly displayed in shared areas and on the dedicated Art Wall, celebrating the creativity within the hospital.
Life-Scapes
Celebrating life’s moments through storytelling and illustration
The ‘Life-Scape’ project recognises and values stories from people who are hospitalised at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).
These illustrated artworks are a celebration of the person and their cherished memories and rich life experiences and are gifted to them.
The artworks support person-centred care and provide comfort to families at a time of great stress and trauma.
The Life-Scape program is particularly useful for patients who are experiencing memory loss or dementia.
Creating through Care
Your support helps us bring moments of creativity and calm to hospital wards through hands-on art making. Every donation contributes directly to materials, artist time and expanding the reach of this program across more hospital areas. Help us keep art on the walls, in the hands of patients and in the heart of care.
This ongoing Artmaking Program is proudly supported by The Henry Jones Art Hotel, whose partnership helps ensure these creative experiences can continue and expand.
