STORIES OF CHANGE: PERSONAL JOURNEYS TOLD THROUGH THE ARTS at the ‘Community Rehabilitation Centre’ (CRU) in Hobart

Starting in October 2022, Inscape has been working with staff and attendees of the Community Rehabilitaion Unit to host 2 short term ‘artist-residencies’.

Artists : Leigh Tesch and Hannah Irawan.

CRU has an ongoing Art Program with multi-media artist, Rebecca Coote.

STORIES OF CHANGE is one of the short-term residencies.

CRU attendees worked with Leigh Tesch and shared stories as part of the storytelling residency and 6 people created works including film, animation, visual art, photography, presentation and written word.

These were on display in one of the treatment rooms on the unit that was transformed into an exhibition space from the 21st to 27th March 2023.

This project was facilitated by Inscape artist, Leigh Tesch in collaboration with CRU staff and attendees and supported by the Art Tutor Fund/Tasmanian Health Service South that has been attached to the Unit for more than 20 years.
